It also comes with a premium carrying case. The Tour V3 is legal for tournament play and for posting of scores for handicap purposes.

How Bushnell Golf Laser Rangefinders Work

Bushnell’s laser rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is “bounced” off distant objects with the press of a button.

Then, the rangefinder’s high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit.

Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within +/- 1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display.

The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

Bushnell Tour V3 Jolt Customer Reviews

Very Easy to Use – By Frank Labrador

Worked right out of the box with no set-up process or calibration, etc. it operates from a single button to identify the target, and it gives you a slight vibration when it locks on the target. Much faster and more accurate than my GPS system. As a result, I’m more confident that I know the yardage for my shot; it’s up to me to execute the shot.

Great Rangefinder – By Z-Man

The build quality is exceptional and I feel this will be in my bag for many years to come. Just point-and-click – it’s just that easy. It’s great for “shooting” yardage to various points on each hole. Just knowing the “exact” yardage to the hole takes out the guesswork/mistakes in club selection.

I previously used the GolfLogix device and the Swing-by-Swing app on my smartphone – found them too tedious and hard to read (glare from the sun)

Great product, questionable battery life – By Bill S

Liked my sky caddie, but now I love the v3 rangefinder which allows shooting essentially any visible object. But, in three months, I have had to change the battery twice which basically means the battery life is 1-2 months. Maybe I will turn off the jolt technology which vibrates when the device reads multiple objects but displays the closest one.

Very, very fragile – By D. Silber

The good news is that when it works, it works well. Distance is spot on. However, it stopped working after only three months (worked fine one hole, then stopped the next), and trying to get it fixed will leave a sour taste in your mouth. First, you have to pay to ship it to Bushnell. Not totally unexpected. But then, they charge you $10 so they can ship it back to you.

Replaced GPS – By Amazon Customer

I had a Skycaddie GPS unit. I was always looking for a distance to some object on the (or adjacent to) the fairway. Could never get this with my GPS unit because it didn’t show on the screen. With the V3 pin seeker technology, locking onto the flag is not a problem.

With this ability to read the flag and the ability to measure any object on the course, I now have much more confidence in playing a particular shot. Even more important, I can now decide to not try a shot beyond my capability. Also, no subscription fee nor courses to download.

Great product for older guys and gals with shaky hands – By Michael A. Johnson

Much better than my very old laser range finder. My hands aren’t as steady in my older age and this tool grabs the flag despite that. I can get readings out to 200 yards with no problem. I use a GPS as well but the V3 is used the most.

Great laser – by Amazon Customer

Works quickly and accurately. I’ve layered up to 500 yards with this.

Works but could be better – by J. Kerr

Works well when there aren’t too many trees or other objects beyond the hole, but it sometimes seems to lase other objects rather than the flag.
